Abraham Lincoln was reelected on election day, Tuesday, November 8, 1864. He was the first Republican president. Today I voted for the first woman president.
Welcome, Madame President!

The following quote was not Barnum but a misquote of H. L. Mencken: Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people. The actual H. L. Mencken quote was: Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public. In the case of a too large portion of the voters in this election, I fear that “taste” and “intelligence” are interchangeable.
I fear that taste and intelligence are non-existent. Very frustrating to see how far we’ve regressed.
